Hailey Meets Henry

At first, Henry didn’t know what to think of this fur ball who was in one of his houses.

After an hour or so, we noticed Hailey panting (a new doggie habit she picked up from her big buddy.)

And eventually they were playing like old pals.

Pick of the Litter

Since I secured a new job to start 1/5/09, I convinced J that December would be a great time to get a puppy since I would be home and I could help her get trained and settled.

A coworker referred me to Baliwyck Goldens, who had two litters almost ready to go home with new families.

After visiting two other litters, I was sure we’d found a good bunch of pups when Hailey and her litter mates were jumping up and making eager noises. They were all sweet tempered, but Hailey climbed into J’s lap and gave him kisses. He quickly announced, “She’s the one!”

1st Anniversary at the Moshuilu

Last night my families came to town and we went out to Moshulu for an anniversary dinner. The staff exceeded our expectations again, with a complimentary bottle of champagne from the general manager to start the evening. Everyone seemed pleased with the dishes, Moshulu knows how to do good food! And since we took along our cake top layer from a year ago, the pastry chef wrote us a little chocolate message when it came time for dessert! We had a lovely time and are going to make this an annual event.
